An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Renault R35 light infantry tank in 1:35 scale from the Japanese company Tamiya. The model comes from a modern tool with a finely rendered surface, a cast hull and turret and plenty of room for color and weathering effects. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Renault R35 was a French light infantry tank from the second half of the 1930s, intended to accompany the infantry. It had a heavily armored cast hull and turret, a crew of two and short gun armament supplemented by a machine gun. It served with the French army in large numbers in 1940, and captured vehicles were later used by other armies as well.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic. We recommend a base coat of primer and spraying with an airbrush. Layered shades come out well, as does bringing out the rivets and the cast surface with washes and a dry brush; mud and dust effects on the running gear add realism to the vehicle. It is a good idea to finish and paint the running gear before closing up the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
