This resin set in 1:35 scale from the Polish company PANZER ART contains cast wheels of the Canadian light reconnaissance armored car Otter with tires of the Dunlop tread pattern. It is not a model but replacement wheels to raise the detail of a kit.
The Otter was a Canadian light armored reconnaissance car of the Second World War period, based in its design on a civilian chassis. As a wheeled vehicle it stood on tires whose tread pattern differed according to the maker of the casings. The castings capture both the tread pattern and the flattening of the tire under load where it meets the road.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks away and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Set the wheel down with the flattened part against the base for a convincing impression of a loaded tire. Paint the rubber dark and add dust and mud effects.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
