A kit of a modern heavy infantry fighting vehicle in 1:35 scale. It is a classic injection-molded plastic model: in the box you will find sprues of parts and building instructions, and the model is assembled and painted. Panda Hobby has long devoted itself to contemporary tracked and wheeled vehicles that are otherwise hard to find as kits, and this model belongs to the same line.
The T-15 is a heavy tracked infantry fighting vehicle based on the universal Armata platform. Against the older BMP types it has the layout of the hull reversed: the powerplant is at the front, the troop compartment at the rear and the troops leave through the back. The crew sit separately in the front section, and the turret is unmanned and operated remotely. This version carries a 57 mm automatic cannon with a coaxial machine gun; the turret is often fitted with anti-tank guided missile launch containers on the sides as well. The vehicle on the Armata platform was publicly shown in 2015 and the variant with the 57 mm gun appeared later.
Finish the running gear first and everything else that cannot be put in place once the hull is closed. Glue the parts with thin plastic cement, fill the seams on the hull and sand them lightly, because large flat areas give away every irregularity. Apply a primer before painting. Paint the turret and the hull separately; that way you reach into the shadows and under the superstructures too. Spray the base shade with an airbrush and then modulate it with a lighter touch on the upper surfaces. Build the weathering up in layers: a dark wash into the pressings and welds, a filter to even out the tone, pigments on the track treads and the lower part of the hull. Leave the optics, the sensors and the vision blocks right to the end and bring them out with a drop of gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
