An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern South Korean K9A1 self-propelled howitzer of 155 mm caliber in service with the army of the Republic of Korea, in 1:35 scale from Academy. The kit offers detailed running gear, a well worked out gun with adjustable barrel elevation, elements of the turret interior and openable hatches. The decals allow a build in South Korean army markings.
The K9A1 is an improved version of the successful K9 Thunder tracked self-propelled howitzer of 155 mm caliber. It stands out for high mobility, a modern fire control system and long range. Besides the army of the Republic of Korea it has become an export success and serves with a number of European armies as well. It is among the most modern artillery systems in its class.
Finish and paint the running gear and the tracks before you close the hull. Paint the turret interior detail before the turret is assembled. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). For weathering, washes in the recesses and dust pigments on the running gear and the lower areas work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
