This is a complete resin kit for experienced modelers, not an accessory set for someone else's model. The whole vehicle is cast in resin, so the build goes differently from ordinary injection-molded plastic: the parts are not nipped off a sprue but cut off casting blocks, and they are joined with cyanoacrylate glue. Resin castings allow finer and crisper detail than plastic, but they are more brittle and call for more careful preparation.
The K131 is a modern light off-road vehicle in the weight category of roughly 1/4 ton that replaced the older light cars derived from a postwar American design in the armed forces of the Republic of Korea. It is used for liaison, command, reconnaissance and courier tasks and is seen in many purpose-built bodies. The armored conversion adds protective panels for the cab and the crew compartment, which changes the shape of the body and the layout of the windows and the doors compared with the basic open version. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject: a small model that also serves well as an addition to a modern diorama.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release from the mold, because otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc; do not break them. Sand resin wet and with protection for your airways, because resin dust should not be breathed in. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, and for filling gaps the gel variant is useful. Apply a primer before painting, because otherwise paint holds poorly on smooth resin. The base shade is best sprayed with an airbrush, and for weathering use a wash in the recesses and pigments for dust and mud on the chassis and the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
