A decal sheet in 1:72 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 Trop and the Bf 109 G-14, with two camouflage schemes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the most numerously built German fighter of the Second World War. The G family, nicknamed the Gustav, was among the later and most widespread patterns, and it was powered by the inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 605. The Trop qualifier on the G-6 version marks the conversion for use in a hot, dusty setting, that is above all a dust filter on the intake. The Bf 109 G-14 is a later production version of the same family.
The sheet holds markings for two camouflage schemes, so two differently finished machines can be built from it, or you can pick the pattern that suits your model better. The dimensions and the thickness of the carrier film match 1:72 scale.
Before you soak the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version; a self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined. With an ordinary wet decal proceed as follows: varnish the base under the decal with gloss clear coat, cut the item out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and once it releases from the paper slide it onto the model. Line the position up with a brush, press the water out with a soft cloth and on a busy surface use a softener, so that the film draws into the engraving. Once dry, varnish the whole with a matte or semi-gloss coat, which hides the edges of the film.
The aircraft model, paints, varnishes and softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
