This is a complete resin kit for experienced modelers, that is a whole model of the vehicle and not an accessory set. All the parts are cast in resin: they are not nipped off a sprue but cut off casting blocks and joined with cyanoacrylate glue. A casting carries finer detail than injection-molded plastic, but at the same time it is more brittle and calls for more careful preparation of the surface.
The K131 is a light off-road vehicle in the weight category of roughly 1/4 ton that replaced the older light cars derived from a postwar American design in the armed forces of the Republic of Korea. It serves for liaison, command and courier tasks. The abbreviation UNCSB - JSA refers to the security battalion of the United Nations Command, which provides the service in the Joint Security Area at Panmunjom on the Korean demarcation line. Vehicles of this unit tend to have a different external finish and markings from ordinary vehicles of the Korean army, which makes the model an interesting subject even for collectors who do not otherwise build modern Korean vehicles.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the remains of mold release from the mold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc and sand the surfaces wet with protection for your airways. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue, and for filling gaps the gel variant is useful. A primer is a mandatory step with resin; without it the paint holds poorly and rubs off during handling. Spray the base coat with an airbrush and paint the small details in with a brush. Check the form of the markings and the color scheme against the instructions in the package before painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
