Responsibility details are not available.
Plusmodel is a Czech maker of modeling accessories and this item belongs to its line of building elements for dioramas. It is neither a model of a vehicle nor a figure, but a set piece on which a view is yet to take place. The 1:35 scale given in the name matches the most widespread size of military equipment and figures.
A farm building fallen in is a rewarding theme: it carries the traces of fighting, but at the same time it is a reminder that until recently somebody was farming here. Exposed brickwork, empty window openings and damaged plaster give room for work with patina and form a natural background for a tank, a gun or an infantry patrol. The rural motif suits European battlefields and will serve just as well outside military themes.
First put the view together dry and find the viewing side – with ruins what matters is where the viewer looks from. The brickwork comes into its own when several thin washes are applied over the base tone and the edges are lightened at the end. Rubble, dust and vegetation at the foot of the building join the set piece to the base; without this transition every building comes across as though it had merely settled onto the diorama from above. Place the traces of hits where the building would really have taken them, that is at the corners, the lintels and the edge of the roof.
