A demolished wall in 1:35 scale as a building item for a diorama. It suits a combat scene and a quiet display of derelict buildings alike.

A collapsed wall is one of the most rewarding motifs in a diorama. It suggests buildings without your having to build a whole house, and it offers exactly what a scene needs: an uneven edge, exposed masonry and a surface along which the traces of weather can be drawn. The 1:35 scale matches ordinary models of military hardware and figures.
You can set the wall across the scene as a divider, or leave it standing at the edge of the base and play the action out around it. It has proved itself to place it so that it partly hides the model, because hiding creates an impression of depth and the viewer imagines the rest. A pair of these walls enclosing the corner of a yard works well too.
First lay the item out dry, photograph the composition and only then glue; choose the glue according to the material of the part and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Clear the dust off the surface before painting. Add a different color for the exposed bricks to a base in the shade of mortar and bring out the molded relief of the masonry with a dry brush. A dark glaze in the joints and a fine light dust at the foot of the wall give the display credibility.
Paints, glue, figures, models of hardware and loose material for terrain are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
