1:48 P-40B exhaust stacks is an Eduard BRASSIN resin detail set with exhaust stacks for a model of the Curtiss P-40B fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from the BRASSIN line holds resin replicas of the exhaust stacks for a model of the Curtiss P-40B fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an improving accessory that will replace the plastic exhausts with castings with a faithful shape and drilled-out openings, which plastic usually cannot manage.
The Curtiss P-40B was an American single-engine fighter from the beginning of the Second World War, powered by a liquid-cooled V engine. The exhaust stacks came out at the sides of the nose and are a striking mark of recognition of the aircraft. The machine became famous on a number of fronts and in the colors of famous units.
Wash the castings clean of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the exhausts with a combination of rusty, metallic and burnt shades and fill them out with a dry patina for a faithful worn look.
This is a supplementary resin set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
