An injection-molded plastic kit of the PT-76 light amphibious tank in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The set includes hull and turret parts, photo-etched sheet and tracks; for the specific contents and the number of decal schemes, follow the instructions in the package.
The PT-76 is a Soviet light amphibious tank developed after the Second World War. Thanks to the buoyancy of its hull and its water jet propulsion it crossed water obstacles without preparation, which made it a popular reconnaissance and airborne asset. It served in the Soviet Army and in many Eastern Bloc and developing countries, and its chassis became the basis of many derived vehicles.
Assemble and finish the running gear and the lower hull first, and only then close the whole thing up. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, even the base out with a primer and lay the paint on with an airbrush. The broad Soviet green surface is rewarding for washes into the recesses and dust pigments on the fenders.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
