An accessory for modelers, not a kit of the vehicle. The package holds resin wheels that replace the plastic wheels of the base model. On an eight-wheeled armored vehicle this is an intervention that shows: there are eight wheels on the model, and their shape and seating decide whether the vehicle looks static and light or whether the weight sits on it. The tires are cast in the sagged version, that is with deformation where they meet the road.
The VPK-7829 Bumerang is a Russian wheeled armored personnel carrier with drive to all eight wheels and a modular hull concept that allows variants with different armament to be built on the same chassis. The power unit sits at the front and the troops enter at the rear. The vehicle has large wheels with an off-road tread and a central inflation system, a detail that shows on a model precisely at the wheels.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, cut the casting blocks off and level the mating surface, with respiratory protection while sanding. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer. With eight wheels it is essential to build on a flat board and to check that all the flattened surfaces touch down at once, otherwise one axle will hang in the air. Bring the tread to life with a dry brush and light dust; the transition between the rim and the rubber is a rewarding place for a thin dark line.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a kit of the vehicle. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
