Replacement road wheels with a spare for kits of the German heavy armored car Sd.Kfz. 234. The designation type 4 extends the earlier three tread patterns with a further form, and the qualifier weighted then means a tire with a patch bowed under the weight of the vehicle.

The real subject

The Sd.Kfz. 234 was the peak of the German school of heavy reconnaissance cars. The hull performed the load-bearing function on its own, without a separate frame, and all the wheels on both sides were driven and steered. Power came from an air-cooled Tatra twelve-cylinder diesel, which needed neither water nor antifreeze, which suited the desert as much as the Russian winter. The second driving position, facing to the rear, made it possible to reverse at full speed after contact with the enemy. The machine was built from 1943 and in all just under five hundred were made; they served with the reconnaissance detachments of the tank divisions.
