Replacement road wheels of the tracked chassis for models of the German Sd.Kfz. 251 half-track carrier in 1:35. The name of the item gives a corrected shape, that is parts altered compared with what the kit of the AFV Club company offers.
The chassis of the Sd.Kfz. 251 has its road wheels arranged over one another and in a view from the side they form a continuous surface. Every deviation in the profile of the disk, in the width of the rubber tire or in the sharpness of the rim therefore appears on a model not once but as many times as there are wheels. A more accurate part removes this error at a stroke and is apparent even under fitted tracks, because the upper part of the wheels stays visible in the gaps of the running gear.
First try the parts dry and compare the diameter and the seating on the mountings. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder with fine sandpaper. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. Paint the wheels individually and fit them only once dry, otherwise you will not reach the inner row later. Separate the rubber tire from the disk with a thin brush. The recommended glue and the exact procedure are in the manufacturer's instructions.
