Friulmodel 1:35 Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO (late type) is a set of workable metal tracks in white metal, which replace the plastic tracks of the kit and imitate the real track of the heavy tractor faithfully.

The set holds individual metal links in white metal, which are threaded onto the supplied wire and joined into a fully workable track. It is a metal replacement for the plastic tracks, not a model of the vehicle. The set reproduces the late type of track with rubber pads and is intended for models of the German heavy half-track tractor Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO in 1:35 scale.
The Sd.Kfz. 9 FAMO was the largest German half-track tractor of the Second World War, with a capacity of around 18 tons. It served to tow and recover heavy armored vehicles and to pull the heaviest guns, and it was indispensable in bringing damaged tanks back in the field. Over the course of production it went through a series of changes, among them changes in the running gear and the track; the late variants differ from the early ones in these details.
Clean the flash off the links, lay them out into two tracks and join them with the wire threaded through to form the pins; secure the joints with super glue. Blacken the metal with a bluing solution or spray it with a primer and paint. The rubber pads offer rewarding color contrast and room for weathering with washes and pigments. Assemble the track right on the running gear of the model.
This is an accessory, that is replacement tracks, not a complete model. The kit of the vehicle, glue and paints are not included in the package.
