Wheel masks for the Sd.Kfz. 222 in 1:35 scale, cut for Tamiya kits. You paint the tires and the discs without outlining them with a brush.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks for painting the wheels of the German Sd.Kfz. 222 light armored scout car in 1:35 scale. The set is cut for kits from Tamiya, so the wheel drops into the cutout exactly. On wheeled vehicles the tires are large and prominent, so every imprecise brush stroke on them shows up at once.
The Sd.Kfz. 222 was a light four-wheeled armored car built for reconnaissance. It carried an open turret with a small-caliber cannon and a machine gun, and its job was not to fight but to see and withdraw in time. The anti-grenade screen over the turret is its trademark feature. Vehicles of this kind appeared everywhere German units advanced, and today they are among the favorite diorama subjects.
The wheel is placed in the cutout in the flexible mask, which covers the tire and exposes the disc. Paint the tire first, then fit the mask and spray over the disc. Do not pull the mask hard, stretching deforms it, and once it is seated press it down with a pointed wooden stick. Do not lay two coats of paint on the edge of the mask, that would leave a step. According to the manufacturer the masks can be used again after cleaning.
This is a painting aid and does not contain the model itself. Paints and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
