This set is a 3D printed resin accessory in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. It is not an aircraft model but replacement landing gear wheels with a weighted effect: the tire sags realistically where it meets the ground, as if the weight of the machine were bearing on it. The wheels take the place of the plastic parts of a Messerschmitt Bf 109K model.
The Bf 109K was the final large-series version of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter from the end of the Second World War. An aerodynamically cleaned-up airframe and a powerful engine made it one of the fastest piston aircraft of its day. Faithful wheels with a tread pattern move the realism of even a small model forward.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue, cut off the print supports and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Separate the hubs and the tires by masking, apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush; turn the flat contact area so that the sag points downward.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
