This product is an aftermarket accessory, not a vehicle kit. It contains three-dimensionally printed and already colored interior features carried on a decal backing. They are applied much like ordinary decals, but they have real raised relief, so the instrument panels, panels and controls read three-dimensionally without the need for photo-etched parts and hand coloring. The set is intended for models of the Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.A half-track in 1:35 scale. The sheets are prepared for the parts of the ICM and Revell kits.
The Sd.Kfz.251 was a German half-track armored personnel carrier used during the Second World War to carry infantry and as a chassis for a range of specialized versions. The early Ausf.A version was marked by a welded hull and a characteristic layout of the fighting compartment for the crew.
First degrease the surface under the parts, smooth it and coat it with gloss clear: the parts have no adhesive layer of their own and will not hold on a matte base. Then cut them out, dip them in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide them off the paper into place; do not soak them for too long. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as they attack the printed resin and destroy the part; into recesses you settle it with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue. Once dry, a light wash can be added to bring out the shadows.
The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
