This photo-etched brass set brings fine exterior parts for a model of the German Sd.Kfz.7 medium half-track tractor armed with the Flakvierling 38 quadruple anti-aircraft cannon in 1:35 scale. It adds the protective shields, grilles, brackets, platforms and fine sections of the mount that come out too heavy in plastic. It is an accessory for more advanced modelers; the base kit and glue are not included.
The Sd.Kfz.7/1 was a German medium half-track tractor of the Second World War adapted into a self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon. It carried the 2 cm Flakvierling 38 quadruple cannon on a folding platform with protective shields. It is exactly the open mount and platform that are full of fine details a photo-etched set refines superbly.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the bends with a bending tool. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the brass before painting and spray it with primer. The thin shields and grilles stand out once washes and pigments have been applied.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. It requires a separately bought Sd.Kfz.7/1 kit in the matching scale. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
