A small 0.75x1.0 mm bar in white polystyrene. The almost square section suits ladder rails, glazing bars, stops and unobtrusive spacers.

Almost equal sides make this section a universal building element: however it is turned, it looks the same, so there is no need to watch its orientation while assembling. Three quarters of a millimeter by a millimeter matches a thin rod of the kind that appears on real vehicles at brackets, braces and frames.
In practice it becomes the sides of ladders with rungs of wire, the vertical bars of large windows, handles, hatch stops, instrument feet and spacers between two parts that have to stay at an exact distance. That last use tends to be underrated: a couple of short pieces glued inside a fuselage keep both halves in line better than handfuls of filler. For railway modelers it is material for railings and fence posts.
Short pieces fly off, so cut on a mat with a raised edge or straight into a dish. Tweezers with flat jaws hold the bar better than pointed ones, which shoot it away. Dose the glue with the tip of a toothpick, so that the small part does not drown. It is a good idea to let assembled pieces cure without handling, because a joint with a section under a square millimeter has little strength at first.
