A modern injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A1 Sherman medium tank in its mid-production version from Border Model in 1:35 scale. The set offers a metal gun barrel, photo-etched parts, clear parts and workable tracks and running gear; the hatches can be shown open. A generous set of accessories is included (crates, jerrycans, helmets, bags).
The M4 Sherman was the most widely used American tank of the Second World War; the M4A1 version was marked out by its cast rounded hull. Mid production combined older and newer features (revisions to the turret and the vision ports, for instance). The Sherman stood out for its reliability, easy maintenance and mass production, which is why it served on every Allied front.
Finish the running gear and the lower hull before painting. The metal gun barrel sharpens up the front view; workable tracks make weathering the contact surfaces easier. Unify the olive drab base with a filter, bring out the recesses with a wash and add chipping on the edges; dust and mud are built up with pigments. Use the generous accessories to bring the tank to life and to fill out a diorama.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
