A kit of a French Renault military vehicle listed under the type code YS2, in 1:100 scale. The maker releases the individual versions separately, so alongside it you will also find the item designated YS. The 1:100 scale suits extensive collections, small dioramas and gaming with models.
In the 1930s the French army was building mechanized units in which, besides tanks, a broad group of light armored vehicles, tractors and trucks served. Renault was among the main suppliers of this equipment and listed its military types under factory codes of a few letters and digits, which are used alongside the official army designations. The digit after the letter code usually distinguishes a follow-on version of the same type.
Cut the parts off leaving a margin with a sharp scalpel and clean them up only once they are off, so that the small pieces do not fly away. Try the joints dry and apply the glue in drops. For injection-molded plastic use thin modeling cement; with resin parts wash them free of release agent residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Paint the lower areas before you close the hull. Lay the base on in a thin layer, thin the paint well and spray at low pressure. A final thin wash and a light emphasis of the edges will give the miniature depth without overpowering the scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
