A set of precisely cast workable white metal tracks for M4 Sherman tanks with T-48 type tracks in 1:35 scale. The T-48 type was among the widespread rubber block tracks with a characteristic pattern. It is neither a model nor a kit of a whole tank, but a detail accessory replacing the plastic or rubber tracks from a boxed kit. Every link is a separate metal casting and, once assembled, the whole run moves freely.
Workable metal tracks give the chassis a realistic weight and allow a natural sag of the run between the road wheels and the return rollers, which cannot be imitated convincingly with stiff plastic parts.
Clean the casting residue off the links, connect them with cut lengths of wire as pins and assemble a continuous run. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A metal surface holds paint and pigments excellently; we recommend a primer and then washes and pigments for mud and wear effects.
This is a detail accessory, not a vehicle model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
