A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale for the Soviet BMD-1 airborne fighting vehicle, the second on this theme. It covers the machines of several users.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BMD-1 is a Soviet amphibious tracked vehicle of the airborne units, also commonly designated an airborne tank. It is strikingly low and light, because from the outset it was built so that it could be dropped by parachute, with the crew landed separately. It carries a rotating turret with a short gun and after the breakup of the Soviet Union it stayed in the armament of several successor armies at once.
The sheet in 1:35 scale is the second devoted to this type and covers machines from several armies of the post-Soviet space as well as the vehicles of the Russian contingent of the peacekeeping force in Kosovo. The elements are arranged so that several different vehicles can be marked from one sheet; the breakdown of the variants and the exact placing of the elements are given in the instructions supplied with the sheet.
Cut an element out close to the printing and soak it for a few seconds in lukewarm water. As soon as it begins to slide freely over the backing paper, transfer it onto a smooth, glossy and degreased surface. Press the excess water out with a soft cloth, help matters with a softener in the broken places, and once it has dried go over the area with varnish, so that the edges of the carrier film disappear.
The sheet will be appreciated by builders of Soviet and post-Soviet equipment in 1:35 scale, especially those looking for less usual markings. A model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
