An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Komintern heavy artillery tractor. The set holds a larger number of parts including individual track links; the model is built from individual parts and is meant for gluing and painting.
The Komintern was a Soviet tracked artillery tractor derived from the chassis components of the tanks of its day. It served to tow medium and heavy artillery, howitzers of 152 mm caliber for example, and was powered by a diesel engine. It was built in the second half of the 1930s and was committed in the opening stages of the Second World War.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the individual track links before finishing the hull. We recommend an airbrush with a base coat, washes into the recesses and dust pigments to bring out mud and dust effects on the tracks and the chassis. The open cab and the load bed lend themselves to a diorama with artillery.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
