This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Soviet heavy howitzer ML-20 of 152 mm caliber set on the M-46 carriage in 1:35 scale. The package holds newly shaped parts in hard plastic, a turned metal barrel, several photo-etched frets and rubber tires. The gun can be set in elevation and in traverse.
The ML-20 is the Soviet 152 mm gun-howitzer model 1937 from the design bureau led by F. F. Petrov. It was a capable artillery weapon at corps and army level, used in the Second World War and in postwar conflicts as well. It combined the qualities of a gun and a howitzer, that is long range together with the ability to fire at a high angle.
Assemble the carriage and the elevation mechanism so that it stays movable. Clean and degrease the metal barrel before gluing and painting. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, apply a base coat (primer) and spray with an airbrush. You will create the weathering with washes and pigments. The gun will stand out on a diorama base with a crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
