A resin detail set in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not an aircraft kit but a complete replacement cockpit: a resin cockpit including the tub, the seat and the side consoles, complemented by a set of colored 3D decals that give the instrument panels a raised and legible look. The set is intended for the plastic Mirage 2000C kit from Kinetic in the same scale.
The Dassault Mirage 2000C is a French single-engine delta-wing fighter introduced in the 1980s as an interceptor and multi-role machine. With the canopy open, the cockpit with its characteristic instruments and ejection seat is one of the most closely watched parts of a model, so refining it lifts the impression of the finished piece markedly.
Wash the parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection; bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the cockpit in the base shade, apply the 3D decals onto a dry, smoothly painted base and fix them with matte varnish. Dry brushing and a fine wash will bring the detail out.
The resin detail accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
