Spare wheels for the Cromwell 1:35, a resin set

A resin accessory set from the Polish maker PANZER ART in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank kit but a replacement for the road wheels on a model of the British Cromwell cruiser tank. The resin castings carry sharper definition of the tread, the grooves and the nuts than injection-molded plastic parts, so that after the swap the running gear visually matches the well worked-out rest of the model.

Use

How to work with the set

First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release agent disappears from the surface; without that the paint will not hold. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw or a cutter, level the surface, and protect your airways when sanding resin, because the dust is very fine. It is glued with super glue; cement for plastic does not work on resin. Before gluing, dry-fit the wheels on the model to check that the hub spacing matches. They look best painted separately, before you fit them.
