The Eduard photo-etched set for the Sturmtiger in 1:35 scale is a photo-etch detail accessory for sharpening a plastic kit, not a model of the vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An etched brass detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a model but an accessory for sharpening a plastic kit of the German Sturmtiger assault vehicle. The etched parts replace and complete elements that cannot be made faithfully in injection-molded plastic — typically fenders, grilles, brackets and fine external detail on the superstructure. The set is meant for modelers who want to lift a base kit to a higher level.
The Sturmtiger (Sturmmörser Tiger) was a German assault vehicle built on the chassis of the Tiger I heavy tank. Instead of a turret it carried a massive 380 mm rocket mortar meant to destroy fortified targets and buildings in urban fighting. Only a small number of these machines were built, and they are among the most unusual German vehicles of the closing period of the war.
Separate the etched parts carefully from the fret, bend them on the edge of a blade or in a bending tool and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or a two-part adhesive. Give matte brass surfaces a primer before varnishing. It is best to finish the running gear and the superstructure before the final weathering with washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
This is not a model but a detail accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
