A sheet of decals in 1:35 scale with the markings of the Syrian T-34-85 and T-55A tanks from the Six-Day War of 1967. An accessory for a finished model, not a kit.
The Syrian armored forces went into June 1967 with two generations of Soviet equipment side by side. The older T-34-85 dated back to the Second World War and in Syria often served in a static role in dug-in positions on the Golan Heights, where it was above all a well sheltered firing position. The more modern T-55A with its 100 mm gun formed the mobile component. The fighting on this sector lasted only a few days and played out in stony, parched terrain without vegetation, which left a marked mark on the appearance of the vehicles.
The desert and gray-green shades from that area tend to be faded after a few weeks in the sun, and markings on them are never sharp. Apply the decals onto a gloss base, but soften them right after they have dried with a thin overspray of matte varnish and a light pass of a very fine sanding sponge. Then add pale dust to the lower parts of a dug-in vehicle and leave the markings on the upper part of the hull a little cleaner, as reality has it.
The decals are supplied on their own. A model and paints are not included in the package.
