This product is not a tank model but a set of replacement tracks for 1:35 scale from the maker DEF Model. It contains individual plastic links of the T158 type that are put together into workable tracks — the finished track stays flexible and sits naturally on the road wheels. The links have an accurate shape and fine detail, including the characteristic tread pattern of the American main battle tank.
The M1 Abrams is an American main battle tank, in service since the 1980s and used in many conflicts. The T158 tracks belong to the more modern forms and are used on the M1A1 and M1A2 versions; related tracks are carried by some Korean tanks too. Faithfully made links that hang naturally over the curves and at the leading run are among the details that add most to the realism of an armor model.
Separate the links from the sprues, clean them up and join them into a track with ordinary plastic (polystyrene) cement — thanks to it the track stays workable until the glue dries. Fit the track with a slight sag, spray it with a primer and finish it with a wash and pigments for a dusty, rubbed look on the contact surfaces.
It is an accessory for a model, not the model itself. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
