This is a resin accessory set for a model of the T-34/76 tank in the production version of 1943, in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit — it is a set of castings with which you add to an already built model the gear that crews carried with them. It is exactly the stowed gear that turns a cleanly built model into a vehicle that looks as if it were in the field, and it is the detail by which finished work differs most.
Given the extent of its production, the T-34 differed from one piece to the next according to the plant and the year. The version of 1943 carries a gun of 76 mm caliber, and the mark of these machines lies in details of production that changed over time: the shape of the hatches, the form of the stacks and the grab irons on the hull, and the way tools and tanks were secured. For a modeler that means accessories cannot be taken as universal — a set cut for a particular production period fits the fixings better than a general one.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no release agent from the mold remains on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and level the mating surface with wet abrasive paper; protect your breathing while sanding. It is bonded exclusively with super glue. The best procedure is to paint the parts separately from the model and fit them only to a finished, painted and weathered model — tarpaulins, bags and crates should have a different texture of paint from the metal of the hull, and if you spray them together they merge. Lay the stowed gear out dry first: real crews lashed it where it did not get in the way of the crew and of the traverse of the turret.
