Tie-down eyes and straps are a small thing that does a great deal of work on a model. The load on the bed, the tarpaulin, the jerrycans, the crates and the gear on a vehicle are held by precisely these, and when they are rendered only as relief in plastic the whole scene looks flat. The set offers these features as separate parts in 1:35 scale and in German pattern.
The parts are made of steel, as the name says. Steel is harder and springier than softer metals and returns partly to its original shape after bending, so shape it with pressure and rather in two passes than in one movement. Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard surface, not by twisting. Put the small pieces straight into a dish and pick them up with tweezers, as they are searched for in vain on the floor. They are glued with super glue applied in a minute amount; ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on metal. Degrease the parts before painting and use a primer made for metal, or the coat will peel off in handling.
The vehicle model, the load, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
