The Tiger I (Panzerkampfwagen VI) was a German heavy tank committed from 1942 and one of the most feared tanks of the Second World War. You will know the early production version by the commander's cupola with vision ports, the dust covers on the fenders and other early details. The main armament was an 88 mm gun derived from an anti-aircraft gun, which pierced the armor of most Allied tanks at long range. Its heavy frontal armor made it a difficult target, albeit at the cost of high weight and demanding maintenance.
With armored equipment, first finish the running gear and any interior before you close the hull; the Tiger typically has interleaved road wheels, so take care over their alignment. Spray the base over primer; for early vehicles a single-color Dunkelgelb as well as a three-color scheme is common. Build the weathering up with a wash into the corners and with pigments for dust and mud on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
