The Renault UE (f) sWG is a plastic kit of the captured French tractor in German service, adapted to carry rocket launcher frames, in 1:35 scale from Mirage Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the captured French Renault UE tractor in its German form with rocket launcher frames (sWG), in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Mirage Hobby. The model captures the low hull, the tracked running gear and the superstructure with its launching frames. It is assembled and painted by the builder.
The Renault UE was originally a French light tracked tractor and ammunition carrier. After 1940 a large number of these vehicles came into German captured-equipment service, where they went through various conversions. One of them was the fitting of frames for launching rockets, which produced an improvised fire support vehicle.
Finish the chassis and the running gear before closing the hull. We recommend thin cement for plastic and spraying over a base coat (primer) with an airbrush. German captured vehicles were often painted in gray and yellow shades; fine-tune the weathering of the recesses and the dust effects with washes and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
