An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Ukrainian main battle tank T-84 Oplot (the upgraded Oplot-M / BM version) from Trumpeter in 1:35 scale. The model offers fine surface detail, individually assembled track links, photo-etched parts, clear parts and a richly detailed welded turret. A panoramic sight and modules of explosive reactive armor are usually included; for the actual package contents follow the manufacturer's information.
The T-84 Oplot is a Ukrainian main battle tank developed from the T-80UD design. It is set apart from the older machines by its modern welded turret, a powerful diesel engine and extensive explosive reactive armor. The upgraded Oplot-M version adds an advanced fire control system and a panoramic commander's sight, which allows independent target search. It is a current type of the Ukrainian design school.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the individual track links before you fit the side skirts and the protection modules. Use liquid cement for plastic, treat the surface with a base coat and apply the shades with an airbrush. The detailed turret and the modules of reactive armor reward weathering: dark washes will pick out the gaps and the edges, and pigments will create dust and mud effects on the running gear and the lower hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
