1:35 Universal boxes WWII accessories se

What the set is for

Boxes, crates and small boxes belong among the most frequent equipment that military vehicles carried with them. They lay on the fenders and at the rear of the cargo bed, they were lashed to the railings of the body, they stood lined up at field depots and at repair posts. On a model and on a diorama they fulfill a double task: they give the scene an inhabited and used impression and at the same time they fill empty areas that otherwise come across as artificial. The attribute universal in the name means that the set is not tied to a single type of vehicle and suits a machine as well as an infantry scene.

What the set contains

A set of accessory parts in 1:35 scale focused on boxes and crates. The number of pieces, their dimensions, their shape and the material of the parts are given by the instructions and by the maker's data; the set is supplied unpainted.

Building and painting tips

Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, so that the paint holds on the surface. Paint the boxes separately away from the model, while they can be reached from all sides, and only then seat them. It helps the conviction if the shades of the individual pieces differ slightly; a pile all in one color looks like a single casting. Bring the relief of the surface out with a dark wash run into the recesses and with a light dry brush along the edges. Choose the placing so that the boxes do not cover the detail for the sake of which you built the model.
