An injection-molded plastic kit of the American 1/4 ton light utility truck, the legendary Jeep, in 1:35 scale from Takom. The set includes the four-wheel-drive vehicle, a matching 1/4 ton trailer and a military police (MP) figure. The kit stands out for its finely done chassis and engine details and suits both a standalone model and a prominent element in a diorama. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The American 1/4 ton light utility truck, known around the world as the Jeep, became one of the most widespread vehicles of the Second World War. Its small size, four-wheel drive and low weight made it a universal helper for reconnaissance, communications, carrying personnel and towing light trailers and weapons. It was built in hundreds of thousands and accompanied Allied units on every front. The 1/4 ton trailer served to carry supplies, ammunition and equipment.
Use thin modeling cement for plastic and clean up the fine parts carefully. Paint the detailed chassis, the engine and the interior of the vehicle before you close the assembly up with the hood and the body. Use the open structure of the Jeep to draw out the interior with a wash and a dry brush. Lay the base olive color on with an airbrush, suggest wear with chipped edges and bring the surface to life with dust and mud effects using pigments, especially on the wheels and the underside. Paint the MP figure separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
