A set of figures of American soldiers in 1:35 scale. The figures are supplied unpainted and will complete a diorama or a finished model of military equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure is the simplest way to give a model scale and action. Beside a vehicle or on a diorama it immediately shows how large the machine really is and directs the eye where you want it. With military equipment 1:35 scale is the most widespread one, so the figures suit the absolute majority of models of tanks and armored vehicles and scenes on their own as well.
G.I. is an established nickname for a member of the American army. The particular period, unit and kit are not specified, so before building look at the illustration on the packaging, so that the figures and the equipment match each other in a scene. The number of figures in the set and their stances are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
Cut surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the surface detail does not disappear. Before painting, wash and degrease the figures, or the paint will not hold on the surface. Apply thin coats, and with the face and the hands go from a darker base to lighter coats on the raised places. Paint the kit and the straps in a different shade, so that they separate from the uniform. Finally a dark, saturated coat run into the folds of the cloth will help, as it deepens the shadows.
Paints, glue, a model of equipment and a base are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
