The set holds replacement wheels and tires in resin meant for building a model of the Husky Mk.III mine detection vehicle in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. The tires have a sag shaped in where they touch the road, so that the finished model looks as if it really were standing on the ground under its own weight.
The Husky VMMD (Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector) is a single-seat wheeled vehicle for finding mines and improvised explosive devices and for clearing routes. The Mk.III version has a modular structure that breaks up in a predictable way in a blast, protects the crew and allows a quick repair in the field. The vehicle has been used by modern armies in counter-mine and counter-IED operations.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. It is best to paint the rims and the tire treads separately, and masking will help to keep them apart. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is an add-on set of wheels, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
