1:35 US Infantry Freedom Iraq part I (2 fig.) is a CMK resin set with two figures of American infantry. The first part of a two-part series of figures in 1:35 scale.

A pair of castings in modeling resin in 1:35 scale from the maker CMK. It is not a kit of equipment but a figure accessory. The set is marked as part one, which matters for the choice: the manufacturer makes a following part two with two further figures, so a more numerous group can be put together from both packages.
Both figures are modeled as infantry for terrain. If you are planning only this set, stand both figures so that there is a relationship between them, a line of sight or a gesture that connects them; two figures side by side with no mutual link come across as two separate exhibits. If you are counting on part two as well, plan the spacing out right from the start, because adding to a group afterwards is always worse than planning it. These figures are not modeled for a vehicle interior or a hatch.
A resin figure comes on casting blocks that have to be cut off with a fine-toothed saw; nippers will crush the casting at a thin place. The blocks tend to be under the feet and on the back. Level the cut surface on abrasive paper laid on a flat board, otherwise the figure stands crooked. The parting line runs along the sides and across the gear; sand gently and restore the sanded-away edges with a knife. If the arms or the weapon are a separate part, strengthen the joint with a wire pin, as a resin arm held only on a butt joint will sooner or later break off. Cyanoacrylate glue sets fast, so always test a part dry first. Sand with respiratory protection.
After washing off the release agent and a thin base, paint the clothing in desert coloring lighter than the subject appears, because in 1:35 scale a shade darkens optically. Dust belongs on the boots and the bottoms of the trouser legs: a dry pigment or a fine spray of thinned light paint ties the figure in with the terrain.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
