A set of replacement wheels in modeling resin for the American M1083 truck of the FMTV family (Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles). The castings replace the plastic wheels of the kit and faithfully reproduce the massive off-road tread pattern as well as the realistically sagged lower part of the tire. The set is intended for the Trumpeter kit.
The weighted tire effect gives a heavy truck a sense of weight and makes the finished model more convincing. The set suits diorama scenes and a display case build alike. The clean castings call for a minimum of cleanup.
Before painting, separate the castings from the casting blocks, clean them up and paint them with ordinary modeling paints.
