A precisely turned metal barrel from DEF Model in 1:35 scale for the M162 weapon system of the American M60A2 tank. This variant 2 is the second version of the barrel and replaces the plastic part of the Academy kit with a perfectly straight metal barrel with a faithful muzzle. It is not a model in its own right but a detail accessory.
The M60A2, nicknamed Starship, carried the 152 mm M162 weapon system in a low, reworked turret, able to fire conventional as well as guided rounds. A metal barrel gives a model the accuracy and straightness that a plastic part can hardly offer.
Glue the metal barrel with cyanoacrylate; degrease the mating surfaces first. Before painting, spray it with a metal primer for good paint adhesion.
The set does not contain the base kit, paints or glue. It is an accessory for a model that you obtain separately.
