U.S. Marines in Jungle 1:35 is a plastic figure set from Master Box with four Marines of the early fighting in the Pacific in the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic set in 1:35 scale holds four figures of members of the US Marine Corps from the early period of the fighting in the Pacific. Generous period weapons and gear come with the figures, including rifles, hand grenades and bayonets, which makes the whole a rewarding base for a diorama in a tropical setting.
The US Marine Corps fought in the Pacific in the demanding conditions of jungle, damp and heat. The Marines wore a lighter field uniform and helmets with a cloth cover; their weapons were semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles and carbines. The fighting in the jungle was among the hardest episodes of the Pacific campaign.
Assemble the figures once the joints are cleaned up and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. We recommend a base of primer and spraying with an airbrush. Keep the uniforms in green-khaki shades and the gear in brown, and bring the scene to life with the rich green of the undergrowth, mud effects and a light wash to bring out the folds and the detail.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
