The set holds three cast resin figures of members of the American naval special forces from the period of the war in Vietnam in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an accessory for dioramas and display case scenes. Three figures in one package make it possible to build a scene on its own with no need to buy further figures, and at the same time guarantee that they will be matched to each other in size as well as in the style of the workmanship. The castings are unassembled and unpainted.
In this period the naval special forces moved above all in coastal and riverine areas, which was reflected in their kit and in the way the equipment was carried - they differed in that from ordinary infantry. A trio of figures is practical for dioramas: it makes it possible to divide the roles in a scene and to create a composition with a foreground, a middle ground and a background.
First wash all the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw, sand the surfaces down wet and use respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate super glue, level the seams out with putty and sand them over. With three figures, lay the composition out dry on the base before you start painting. Apply a thin base coat, build the uniforms up in acrylics in layers and unify them with a wash. Throw the shades of the cloth slightly out of tune between the individual figures - the scene then does not look uniform. Water and muddy effects on the footwear and the trouser legs will tie the figures convincingly to the terrain of a diorama.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
