A resin figure of an American tank crewman loading ammunition in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART, the second pose in the range.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of an American tank crewman caught in the act of loading ammunition in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART, a maker of resin figures and accessories for models of military vehicles. This is the second pose in the same range, so it can be joined with the other numbers into a single tableau. It is not a model of a vehicle but an accessory figure.
A scene with ammunition being loaded is one of the favorite subjects for a diorama precisely because it gives the figures work to do. Two or more figures in connected poses create a story a single standing figure can never replace. The modeler also gets a reason to open a hatch, show a piece of the interior and bring the area around the vehicle to life with crates and materiel, so the scene gains depth even without extensive terrain.
Wash the casting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap because of the release agent. Cut the casting block off with a saw or a knife and wet-sand the mark with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint over a thin base. With a working pose the folds on the back and under the arms come out well, so emphasize them with a wash and shadows. Add soiling on the knees, sleeves and boots with pigment. A final matte varnish evens out the sheen, so the figure does not look out of place beside a painted vehicle.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
