US Tankers - In the Mood is a set of three unpainted resin figures of an American tank crew in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6. It is intended for dioramas and for models of Allied armored equipment.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds three figures of an American tank crew in 1:35 scale, cast in modeling resin. The castings are supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a kit of a vehicle but an aftermarket accessory intended to bring a model of an armored vehicle to life or to build a scene on its own. The subtitle In the Mood is the name of the composition that the manufacturer has given the set.
The figures represent American tank crewmen in working dress, that is in the pattern typical of the crews of armored vehicles of the Second World War. The trio is worked out as a group, so the figures relate to each other visually and hold together well on one base or around a vehicle. From a modeling point of view the most interesting things are the tank crewmen's helmets with earphones, the jackets and overalls and the natural carriage of the body by which resin figures differ from ordinary injection-molded sets.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc, level the surface with a file and do the sanding wet and with respiratory protection. It is glued exclusively with cyanoacrylate super glue; cement for plastic will not join resin. Apply a thin primer before painting. Paint the uniform with matte acrylics in several shades with picked-out edges and layer the face with glazes. Assemble the set of three figures dry beforehand and place them on the base, so that the resulting composition works from the main viewing angle.
The set is supplied as unassembled and unpainted resin castings. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
