A resin kit of the American single-axle trailer K-38 in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, intended for experienced modelers. A stand-alone model of the trailer, which you can build as a piece on its own, hitch behind a suitable American vehicle or set into a diorama of a signals unit.
The trailers of the K series served the American Signal Corps during the Second World War to carry telephone materiel and equipment for building and maintaining field lines. The K-38 type was a single-axle trailer towed behind light and medium vehicles; signalers took it everywhere wires had to be run, from command posts to forward positions. It is precisely inconspicuous rear area equipment of this kind that adds credibility to dioramas.
Before building, wash the resin parts in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue the joints with cyanoacrylate glue; protect your airways while sanding. The base color is American olive drab, on which you follow up with filters, bring the detail of the chassis out with a wash and add dust and mud from the wheels with pigments. The trailer positively invites loading with boxes, cable reels and other props.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
