A resin ammunition set in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand PANZER ART, the manufacturer's part number SU35-042. It is not a model of a vehicle and not a kit: it is an accessory with which to fill out the ammunition stowage in the hull, complete a diorama or bring the open interior of a finished model to life.
The 105 mm M4 howitzer was the tank adaptation of the American field howitzer of the same caliber and armed the support versions of the M4 Sherman medium tank. Instead of anti-armor work, these machines were meant to destroy fortifications, machine gun nests and targets behind cover, so high-explosive shells and smoke shells predominated in their ammunition stowage. The round is semi-fixed: the shell was drawn out of the cartridge case and the propellant charge was adjusted to the range required, and that shows in the shape of the stowed parts as well.
For modelers of American vehicles in 1:35 scale, especially for those building a Sherman with an open interior or a resupply scene. The parts are small and made of resin, so a sharp knife and tweezers come in useful.
