1:35 HAD models decals, German turret numbers, Second World War, part 8 is a decal sheet with tactical digits 9 mm high for models in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The eighth part of a series of decal sheets with tactical numbers for models of German armored equipment of the Second World War period in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model. It is made by the Hungarian brand HAD models; the decals are wet and release from their backing in water. For this sheet the manufacturer states a digit height of 9 mm, which in 1:35 scale corresponds to markings of roughly thirty centimeters on the real vehicle.
A number on the turret was the vehicle's mark of identification within a unit: its digits gave the company, the platoon and the vehicle's place in the platoon. The size of the digits was chosen so that they could be read from a distance, and the stated height of 9 mm in scale matches that.
Spray the area with gloss clear coat. Cut the digit out close to the edge of the carrier film, soak it in lukewarm water and once it has released from the paper transfer it to the dampened place. Nudge it with a brush; with numbers of several digits, mark a guideline beforehand and check the spacing from a distance. Soak the surplus water up, use a softener on busy areas and let it dry untouched. Finally unify the model with a matte varnish and, if you like, draw a fine wash over the number so that it settles into the surface.
A decal sheet is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
